Setting up a guitar involves a series of adjustments to ensure proper playability, intonation, and tone. These services are all at an additional cost at a music store or a luthier which could cost you well over $100. At Southwest Acoustic Products we include these services with every guitar we sell.
Here are the steps for setting up a guitar:

Adjust the string action at the nut:

Check and adjust the intonation:
Adjust the pickup height:
Ensure the strings move smoothly through the nut slots.
Check the electronics and wiring:
Clean and condition the fretboard:
Restring the guitar:
Final adjustments and fine-tuning:
